Julius Johansen wins the opening time trial of the 5th edition of O Gran Camiño - The Historical Route. Over the 15 km course starting and finishing at Torre de Hércules, the Danish rider from UAE Emirates XRG clocked 17'43" at an average speed of 50.257 kmh. Johansen, who is celebrating his first professional victory, finished 16 seconds ahead of Portuguese time trial specialist Rafael Reis of Anicolor Campicarm and 17 seconds ahead of fellow Portuguese Nelson Oliveira of Movistar Team.

Eighth place for Alessandro Pinarello (NSM Cycling), the best Italian of the day with a gap of 46 seconds from the winner.
