Piero Fischi has written "Modern Cycling Manual" (Ediciclo, 216 pages, 16 euros), "a handbook – as written in the introduction – for every type of cyclist, from those who want to understand more deeply what the natural mechanisms of movement and nutrition are in order to practice cycling as correctly as possible, to those who make racing their creed". It is a guide to physical and mental training and nutrition, with notes on technique (the advantages) and doping (the dangers), in simple language. "I also learned something new – declares Davide Cassani in the preface -, despite having been a professional and having raced the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France". And he explains: "All of us on a bicycle become children again and have dreams to fulfill, but this must be done according to our age and our possibilities: there are therefore rules, very precise limits".
