Uma Triathlon Team organizes on June 20th the third edition of the cycling randonée "RANDOSAWANA" on the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, which will take cycling enthusiasts along the scenic roads and hills of Oltrepò Pavese.

An event that over the years has become not only a sporting occasion, but also a moment of reflection and sharing for the territory and the entire cycling community. Since 2024, the event has been dedicated to the memory of Riccardo Giorgi, a teammate who tragically lost his life after being hit and killed by a motorist under the influence of alcohol and drugs. For this reason, the randonée is also the Riccardo Giorgi Memorial, with the aim of promoting a culture of road safety.

The 2026 edition of RandoSawana aims to focus on two fundamental themes:

- raising awareness about road safety, particularly for those who practice road sports;
- enhancing the value of the Oltrepò Pavese territory, a landscape, cultural and gastronomic heritage that deserves to be discovered and experienced through sport.

To reinforce this message, the event will open on Friday, June 19th with a round table discussion at the Cascina delle esperienze, bringing together businesses, territorial authorities, organizations committed to promoting the territory and sports associations. The meeting will be a moment of discussion and proposals, with the aim of reaching a shared commitment charter that participants can then implement concretely in their respective activities and areas of responsibility.

The round table will be open not only to professionals, but also to cyclists, sports enthusiasts and citizens concerned with road safety and territorial development.

The following day, June 20th, RandoSawana participants, departing from Cascina delle esperienze, will travel along the scenic roads of Oltrepò Pavese, experiencing a day of sport, passion and memory. An opportunity to ride together, remember Riccardo Giorgi and promote a message of responsibility and respect on the roads.

RandoSawana thus confirms its vocation: to unite sport, territory and values, transforming a cycling randonée into a moment of community and awareness.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to UNA ONLUS – Association of parents in pediatric oncology Milan, which has been operating in the Lombardy region since 2010 raising funds for research on some of the most serious childhood tumors.
