The Italian Cycling Federation and Rai Public Utility have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at promoting and enhancing the dissemination of information within the scope of public utility services and, more broadly, activities connected to the public broadcasting service, with particular attention to issues of mobility and bicycle use. The agreement is structured along four fundamental pillars - safety, inclusion, valorization of history and social communication - and recognizes sustainable mobility and bicycle culture as concrete tools for civic growth and collective well-being.
With regard to safety, the collaboration will be oriented towards the dissemination of content and information campaigns dedicated to responsible mobility, accident prevention and the promotion of correct road behavior, with particular attention to the most vulnerable users, including cyclists and pedestrians. On the inclusion front, initiatives will be promoted aimed at making bicycle mobility increasingly accessible, valorizing projects capable of fostering the participation of people with disabilities, young people and the most vulnerable segments of the population.
A central role will also be reserved for history and memory, through editorial activities and content dedicated to valorizing the cultural and sporting heritage linked to the bicycle, recounting its impact on the country's social and economic development and its symbolic value of freedom and progress.
Social communication will finally constitute a key element of the collaboration, thanks to the implementation of campaigns and projects capable of raising citizens' awareness about the benefits of sustainable mobility, promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging greater attention to the environment and quality of urban life.
"This agreement represents a significant step in strengthening the value of the bicycle as a public utility tool, capable of combining safety, inclusion and sustainability," declared Federation President Dagnoni, "while confirming the centrality of the FCI also on all issues related to bicycle use that are not specifically competitive."
"Through effective and accessible communication, we want to contribute to spreading a new culture of mobility, more attentive to people and the environment," concluded Rai Public Utility Director Giuseppe Sangiovanni.
With the signing of the agreement, the FCI and Rai Public Utility confirm their commitment to promoting responsible information oriented towards the common good, valorizing the bicycle as a central element of sustainable mobility policies and in the construction of more inclusive and aware communities.
