Giro Sport Design today announces the launch of the Imperial™ All-Season (AS), next-generation high-performance road cycling shoes designed to deliver efficiency, comfort and race-level protection in the coldest and wettest weather conditions. The new Imperial AS shoe was developed based on feedback from the world's best WorldTour riders on Giro's global roster – including new signings Paul Seixas and Biniam Girmay – in close collaboration with Giro's shoe development team in Annecy, France.
"Giro's shoe development team works hand-in-hand with our professional athletes to refine every aspect of performance. Input from the best climbers, sprinters and general classification contenders – such as Thymen Arensman, Jay Vine, Paul Seixas and Biniam Girmay – has helped shape the Imperial AS to meet the demands of training and challenging spring conditions, while maintaining the power transfer and comfort they rely on during racing. This collaboration ensures our athletes, and cyclists around the world, have the best possible shoes when performance matters most," said Raphael Dale, Director of Shoe Development at Giro Sport Design.
