Isaac Del Toro has become the 48th rider to inscribe his name in the honor roll of Tirreno-Adriatico and has allowed Mexico to achieve the first historic triumph in the 61 editions of the Race of the Two Seas that have been contested so far, more than thirty years after the podium finishes of his compatriot Raul Alcalá, 3rd in 1991 and 2nd in 1992. With Mexico's first victory, there are now 15 countries with at least one success in the history of Tirreno-Adriatico.
Italian cycling celebrates the excellent 3rd place in the final standings of Giulio Pellizzari and two fine stage victories: Filippo Ganna's in the opening time trial and Jonathan Milan's in the sprint finish in San Benedetto del Tronto. Despite 13 editions without a win (the last Tirreno-Adriatico victory dates back to 2013, thanks to Vincenzo Nibali), Italy remains firmly at the top of the nations' ranking with 72 total podiums: 24 first places, 23 second places, and 25 third places.
Jonas Vingegaard has improved on his 3rd place finish from 2023 and has become the 57th rider to win Paris-Nice, the first of Danish nationality. There are 15 countries with victories across the 84 editions of the French race contested from 1933 to today, and 23 with at least one podium finish.
With the results from the two stage races, we can also update the 2026 World Tour data. Del Toro with 5 victories becomes the season's most successful rider ahead of Jonathan Milan (4), while Denmark, led by Andresen and Vingegaard, reaches 7 victories in races of the main UCI circuit, overtaking Italy (6) and becoming the leading nation among the 12 nations that have scored.
