The Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber team announces that rider Edward Cruz was involved in a road accident during a training session on March 8th. Following the crash, the rider sustained a fracture of the metacarpal bone in his right hand, a distal fracture of the left radius, a fracture of the left orbital bone, a fracture of the left tibial malleolus, and cervical trauma with a second-degree vertebral collapse.
Following medical examinations, a prognosis of 30 days has been established, during which the athlete must observe a period of rest while wearing an orthopedic collar, as well as an orthopedic brace on his right hand and left ankle.
At the end of this period, the rider will be re-evaluated by an orthopedic specialist and a neurosurgeon before being able to gradually resume competitive activity.
The Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber team will closely follow the athlete's recovery process, wishing Edward Cruz a swift recovery.
