The 66th edition of the Giro delle Conche juniors is now in the history books with another tremendous success. This year the early-season classic, perfectly organized by Team Bosco Orsago presided over by Alessandro Cao and the Sportivi Silvellesi Committee by Ernesto Chies, with the tireless Francesco Vettorel in the control room, brought together all the best Italian talents and 5 foreign teams.
191 riders delivered spectacle on the Conche and, above all, on the revamped final lap that featured the short but grueling climb of Pra della Vigna with gradients of 15% and the Gran Premio della Montagna of Rugolet. The caravan was welcomed by a fabulous crowd. Rarely has so many people been seen lining the roads on the Conche climb and at the finish in Silvella.
The final phases saw an attack by 19 riders. The breakaway reached a maximum advantage of over a minute. In the finale, a trio emerged composed of Friuli native and son of a cycling family Nicholas Murro (Libertas Ceresetto), the Valtellina native Raffaele Armanasco (Ciclistica Trevigliese) and the Lazio native Brian Paris (Team Coratti). The most active on the climb was the young Armanasco. In the final kilometers the group seemed able to catch the fugitives who stubbornly maintained a slight margin of advantage. The final sprint, between two walls of crowd, was decided by Brian Paris over Raffaele Armanasco and Nicholas Murro.
