The season of Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone continues to deliver consistent results. At the 39th Firenze-Empoli, the team secured its first podium of 2026 thanks to Alessio Menghini's 2nd place finish, following a race interpreted with personality and cohesion by the squad, with Tommaso Bambagioni delivering a solid performance that concluded in 7th place.

Following the positive signs that emerged at the debut Coppa San Geo – with Bambagioni's 8th place finish, the long breakaway and teamwork from Emanuele Ansaloni, and the explosive performance shown by Menghini – the response at Firenze-Empoli confirmed the team's good health. The race was controlled in the decisive phases, with an attempt in the final stretch featuring Bambagioni among the protagonists, and a tight sprint that saw Menghini fighting for victory until the final meters.

For the team conceived by Davide Cassani in 2019 and promoted by APT Servizi Emilia Romagna, chaired by Gianni Carapia and directed from the team car by Francesco Chicchi, Michele Coppolillo, Mauro Calzoni and Andrea Gallo, with Gian Luca Giardini in the role of project manager, this represents an encouraging signal at the start of an intense season.

Already today, Sunday, February 22nd, the Emilia-Romagna team's riders will return to racing, splitting their efforts between the 64th GP La Torre in Fucecchio and the 4th GP Misano Open Games at Misano World Circuit, before tackling from February 25th to March 1st the first stage race of the season with the professionals at the Giro della Sardegna.
