First race in a WorldTour team for Filippo Fiorelli and first joy achieved by contributing to Matthew Brennan's success in the final stage of the Santos Tour Down Under: "Today was the toughest stage, there was never a moment to catch a breath, but we knew this would be the right opportunity for Matthew and we believed in it from the beginning. When we were six kilometers from the last climb, I saw that the gap with the breakaway was still significant, so I committed to a 'pull' that closed the hole and then my teammates completed the work".
And further: "Visma Lease a Bike chose me precisely for this, to work and try to bring my team leaders to victory. I'm happy to have contributed to Brennan's success. At the Reverberi school I learned a lot, but here we are obviously in another dimension. Now I have the next two races in Australia, then upon returning to Europe I will face Ruta del Sol, Kuurne, Strade Bianche and Tirreno-Adriatico. Brennan, Laporte and Van Aert are the leaders I will work for. And I'm happy for Brennan, who will be the sprinter of the future: he proved it last year and confirmed it at the start of this season".
