A winning sprint to start the first season among Professionals in the best possible way. Alessandro Borgo, a twenty-year-old from Treviso who joined Bahrain-Victorious this year, has conquered victory in the Al Salam Championship.

The competition, held on Sunday in Dubai and included in the UAE national calendar, involved over 230 athletes over a distance of 200 kilometers.  

Borgo, for the occasion racing with the Omniyat Shabab Al Ahli team jersey, beat Danish rider Julius Johansen and Abdulla Jasim Al-Ali, a UAE rider registered with UAE Gen Z. In the day's top 10 were also other Italians Daniel Skerl, sixth, and Alessio Delle Vedove, seventh.
