Here are some curiosities about the recently concluded cycling season, while waiting for the new year. In 2025, Tadej Pogacar was once again the best, with 20 total victories, of which 17 in World Tour races, including Strade Bianche, Tour of Flanders, Flèche Wallonne, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Tour de France, World Championship and Giro di Lombardia. The Slovenian achieved 28 total podium finishes in World Tour races.
The Mexican Isaac Del Toro won 10 road races, the Belgian Remco Evenepoel confirmed his time trial supremacy by winning 6 time trial events, including European and World Championships. Belgium, although declining compared to 2024, dominated the World Tour with 23 victories and 59 podiums. Considering all UCI races reserved for the elite men's category, leadership belongs to France with 106 victories.
Jonathan Milan once again recorded the best numbers in Italian cycling, collecting 9 victories (7 of which in World Tour races) and 18 podium finishes (13 in the most important UCI circuit). Second place goes to Matteo Malucelli with 8 victories, all obtained in ProSeries competitions. Filippo Ganna was once again the best Italian in time trials, with 3 victories.
