11 Olympic medals, 15 world titles, and an authentic rain of national jerseys: these are the numbers that best represent the history and prestige of Sc Padovani, founded in 1909. Of these, 10 Olympic medals and 13 world titles came from the track.
An indissoluble bond links the white and green jerseys to the track, a red thread that runs through over a century of cycling history, a very strong and current tradition, ready to be renewed thanks to the arrival of the Italian track cyclist Davide Boscaro at Sc Padovani Polo Cherry Bank.
From Saonara, Padua, born in 2000, Davide Boscaro is an experienced sprinter who has been part of the Italian national track team for years; in his trophy cabinet he boasts two gold medals at the U23 European Championships (Team Pursuit and Elimination in 2022), two continental silvers (2018 and 2020 in team pursuit) and a bronze (Apeldoorn 2024). To these international track results, Boscaro has added over the years a national title in team time trial and several road victories.
President Galdino Peruzzo welcomed Davide Boscaro: "Davide is a point of reference for the entire Italian track movement, and for us, it is an honor to have him in our group, which, despite international ambitions, loves to stay close to the Padua territory. Our society, in its centennial history, has always shone on the track: being able to renew this long tradition, with a 'local' athlete is a dream we would like to realize together with Davide".
Vice-President Alberto Ongarato was also enthusiastic about the new arrival: "For a Padua athlete, wearing the white and green jersey has always had a special value. Davide is a mature and experienced sprinter who, beyond track activity, will be of great support to the entire team in road races, guiding younger teammates".
With a smile on his lips, Davide Boscaro said: "This opportunity for me represents a kind of homecoming. Padovani has written the history of cycling, I grew up following the myth of athletes like Bianchetto and Beghetto, thinking that next year I will be able to wear this historic jersey is a great emotion and a great honor. I want to thank my Sports Group Fiamme Azzurre, which gave me the opportunity to carry out road activities with Padovani. With the team's technicians, we have already defined a very interesting program that will allow me to alternate between road and track: I will put all my commitment into giving the team the best satisfaction".
