Team UKYO welcomes two new Italian riders to its roster. Tommaso Dati and Federico Iacomoni join the Japanese formation for the upcoming season. The two Italians complete the roster for 2026. Andrea D'Amato, Nicolò Garibbo, Simone Raccani, and Nahom Zeray had already renewed their contracts for the next season.
The 23-year-old Tommaso Dati has already shown his potential in U23 races. This year he won Memorial Daniele Tortoli, Memorial Maurizio Bresci, Trofeo Castelfidardo, Trofeo Città di San Giovanni Valdarno, Firenze-Viareggio, and Coppa Varignana. In the second part of the season, he participated in Italian classics such as Coppa Agostoni, Coppa Bernocchi, Giro del Veneto, and Veneto Classic with Cofidis, where he rode as a stagiaire.
Tommaso Dati commented on his transfer with satisfaction: "I'm excited and happy to be part of this new team. It's a beautiful project: the team is very organized and meticulous, with great attention to details. All of this is ideal for me. I already know some guys on the team and it seems like a close-knit group. For me, this is an additional factor that isn't a given. Moreover, I was convinced by the trust of Alberto and Manuele, who have been following me since the beginning of the year. All these elements made me choose Team UKYO, which is one of the best Continental teams in the world. For next year, I expect to make a further improvement compared to 2025. I definitely want to achieve results in professional races: in 2026 I'll have more opportunities because the Team UKYO calendar is very competitive. My goals are to take a step forward compared to 2025 and consequently manage to obtain good results among professionals."
Federico Iacomoni has also obtained several important results in 2025. The 23-year-old won Giro delle Due Province, Badoere-Valdobbiadene, and GP Ezio del Rosso. Now he's ready for a new challenge with the move to an international Continental team, where he'll have more opportunities to race among professionals with a competitive calendar.
Excited about the new experience, Federico Iacomoni stated: "From my first season with Team UKYO, I expect to grow a lot in terms of experience. I hope that the new races, the new calendar, and the staff will help me make a qualitative leap. I've never ridden for such a well-equipped team and I'm sure it will help me grow. The first season might not be easy at the beginning, but I'm motivated and working well. I feel the support from the entire team and this is giving me a lot of strength. I'm very happy to start here and see step by step what this new adventure can bring me."
After a 2025 full of satisfaction, Team UKYO is ready for the new year with the same energy that allowed the Japanese team to win the UCI Asian Tour ranking and place second among Continental teams worldwide.
