The activity of athletes from the Modena-based Ale Colnago Team continues to be diverse. First and foremost, the team led by Milena Cavani and Eva Lechner is proud of the new call-up to the national team for the two more than promising juniors Nicole Azzetti and Elisa Bianchi, who will defend the colors of Italy in Flamanville, France, in the second Cyclocross World Cup event (race scheduled for Sunday, November 30th at 10:35).
The trio composed of Gioele Bertolini, Rebecca Gariboldi, and Alan Zanolini has been in Sardinia since Tuesday to continue their preparation, focusing on the World Cup event scheduled in Terralba on December 7th. The three will compete on Saturday at the 3rd Fabio Aru Academy Trophy in Villacidro, and on Sunday at the 4th Guspini City Cyclocross. All other team members will race on Saturday, November 29th in Montecchio Emilia at the Beltrami Cx Cup-1st Andrea Corradini Memorial-1st Sivar Car Cup, the fourth event of the Mastercross Emilia Romagna circuit; on Sunday, November 30th in the national Cyclocross race in San Martino at Castello di Serravalle di Valsamoggia.
"We are going through a good moment, we are definitely growing, and we at the Ale Colnago Team are very happy," reflects former Bolzano champion Eva Lechner. "The reconfirmation in the national team of Azzetti and Bianchi fills us with satisfaction, and we hope they can express themselves in the best possible way. Bertolini, Gariboldi, and Zanolini chose to train in Sardinia where the climate is definitely better, and with two races on the weekend, they will be present at both because racing is always that extra something that serves as a test and to improve condition."
