A serious loss has struck Stefano Di Santo, the appreciated cartographer – and more – of the Giro d'Italia and other RCS Sport races. His mother, Mrs. Teresa Iaracitano, has peacefully passed away today, at almost 99 years old.
Stefano Di Santo, an engineer, originally from Friuli but residing in Venice, has been signing with his initials – SDS – using mouse and computer guided by manual and intellectual impulses the competent pink cartography of all cycling events and other races, succeeding the pen, India ink, and millimeter paper of C. San, the unforgettable Cesare Sangalli who preceded him in the field.
Stefano Di Santo is also an avid cycle tourist who tests his routes by pedaling them with sagacity and typical Friulian determination.
To Stefano Di Santo and his family, our Editorial Staff extends the most heartfelt condolences.
Funeral details will be communicated later.
