Cycling was among the protagonists of the provincial CONI awards ceremony in Varese, which took place in the Salone Estense of the Varese Municipality. Managers Mario Minervino, president of Cycling Sport Promotion, and Renzo Oldani, president of the Alfredo Binda Cycling Society, were awarded the "Bronze Star for Sports Merit" by the Italian National Olympic Committee.
A great recognition for two managers who have brought their events to the highest levels of international cycling, an honor that was presented by the President of the Varese Provincial Committee of the Italian Cycling Federation Igor Giaron, along with the CONI Delegate of Varese Sergio Gianoli and various authorities present. For the Alfredo Binda Cycling Society, founded in 1929, there was an additional recognition: the "Gold Star for Societies" presented to the numerous managers of the white-red society by the Prefect of Varese Rosario Pasquariello.
