UCI. 2. In the end, the world cycling body, through the wise (pure irony, I must emphasize) jury panel, disappoints everyone. They manage to ruin a beautiful stage, mortify cycling and the riders, who are the real victims of this sad day. They take the gaps 3 km from the finish line, just after Pike, but no ranking is drawn up: everything is neutralized. The Pro Pal protesters (let's say it, it's not a crime, it's simply stating what's in front of everyone's eyes) win hands down, and the UCI with the jury panel and organization manages the masterpiece of legitimizing the protesters with a single move. Moreover, with just a wave of the hand, they ridicule the entire cycling system, giving protesters worldwide the guarantee that they can do whatever they want and disrupt everything. What could have been done? Simply, as they decided to take times 3 km from the finish line, after the Pike GPM, the race could have ended there. Was it difficult? Very difficult? As difficult as taking times. In all this, no UCI representative is present in Spain, they carefully avoid it. The Pike hill will make history, like the two of spades that UCI has given to itself and all of cycling. For the record: in the rankings, Vingegaard now leads with 52" over Almeida and 56" over Pidcock.

CPA. 2. It would be the riders' union, sending out a statement clearly written by others, in pure political language, where they talk about safety and not about protesters putting riders' safety at risk (Petilli ended up on the ground yesterday precisely because of demonstrators who invaded the road). Some riders, Jorgenson from Visma leading the way, in an enlightened manner (again: pure irony) even invited Israel's riders to leave the race, and this is the saddest, most disheartening and worrying thing. We are in disarray, and we don't know what to do with an association like this. If this were to happen, it would be a defeat for everyone.

Jonas VINGEGAARD. 6. He wanted to win for his child, little Hugh, who has a birthday today. It will be for next time, for the next stage, if the protesters allow it.
