Born in 2014 with an original and immediately innovative idea, the Gran Fondo Montecatini Terme offers a formula that combines the character of a cycling tour – to leisurely enjoy landscapes, nature, and the beauties of Tuscany – with the thrill of competition through timed sections on closed roads. A perfect mix of safety, fun, and emotion.

Three routes for all cyclists

The Gran Fondo offers three scenic and challenging routes, suitable for different fitness levels:

Short: 45 km (minimal elevation)

Medium: 95 km (elevation 1,750 m)

Long: 124 km (elevation 2,500 m)

Two iconic climbs await the most competitive participants, both linked to Magrini's career:

Malocchio: 4.5 km – average gradient 7.8%

Avaglio: 7.5 km – average gradient 7.4%
