
There are very few races, especially for Elite and Under 23 categories, with over 100 editions, and among these is the Cesa Circuit which will take place on Tuesday, September 2nd for the 102nd time. Organized by Gs Cesa, with the Santa Lucia trophy at stake. Unofficial start from Menchetti bakery at 1:25 PM, official start from Cesa finish area at 1:30 PM. The route includes three laps passing through Badicorte, Marciano, Pozzo, Foiano, Renzino, Pozzo, Cesa, and another six laps on the Badicorte, Marciano via Carraia, Esse, Marciano Orologio gate, Cesa, Pescaia junction, Cesa section. The total distance is 170 kilometers, with the finale expected around 5:30 PM.
A good number of athletes are expected at the start. Among the most prestigious winners, Enrico Paolini should be remembered, exactly 60 years ago in 1965. Paolini, later a three-time Italian professional champion, winner of Giro d'Italia stages and other races, unfortunately passed away this very year.
