Lidl-Trek announces that 19-year-old Belgian Fleur Moors will remain with the Team until 2027, extending her contract for two more seasons. Moors joined Lidl-Trek in 2024 as a neo-professional and spent her first two seasons working on road and cyclocross. The start of the 2025 season was challenging, with an illness and surgery forcing her to stop for three months, but her determination and resilience paid off in June when she secured her first professional victory at the Dwars door de Westhoek, her second race back.
In July, Moors tackled the biggest stage race of her career so far, the Giro d'Italia Donne. Riding without pressure or expectations, she focused on gaining experience, learning from her teammates, and testing herself during the stages. Unfortunately, an accident in the fifth stage left her dealing with a broken wrist. She is now preparing to return to racing at the Tour de l'Avenir at the end of this month. She will also return to cyclocross racing during the winter.
"I really enjoyed the last two years in this team, it has been like a family for me," said Fleur Moors. "When I joined the team, I was not used to having such a professional support system, so it took some time to get used to it, but in the end, I was so grateful for this. I am grateful to the staff members of this team who are helping us achieve our goals. Also to my teammates: without them, I would not be the cyclist I am now. I have had the opportunity to learn from the best in the team, and I am sure there are many more learning opportunities ahead of me, and I am happy to do so for another two years in this team.
"For me, this season was quite a difficult start. I had three months without training or racing and had to be very patient. I wanted to go further, but it was not possible, but the Team continued to believe in me and support me. The confidence they gave me was very important, and for this, I was super motivated to come back strong. In my second return race, I achieved my first professional victory, which made me really happy. Without this team, the victory would not have been possible. My motivation and ambition for the future are high. I know the Team and my teammates will help me as much as possible, and I hope we can achieve something beautiful together. Let's go forward!"
"In the last two years, Fleur has impressed us with her willingness to learn and her determination to improve," said Luca Guercilena, General Manager of Lidl-Trek. "She has already shown that she can perform at a high level, particularly in one-day races, and her first professional victory this season was an important milestone, especially after the challenges she had to face at the beginning of the year. Fleur is one of our brightest young talents, and we are committed to giving her the time, support, and guidance she needs to continue her development without unnecessary pressure".
