A new chapter begins for one of the most decisive riders of his generation: Remco Evenepoel will wear the Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe jersey starting next season.
THE VOICE OF RED BULL BORA HANSGROHE. The Belgian phenomenon has already etched his name in cycling history despite his young age: world champion in time trial and road race, two Olympic gold medals, winner of a Grand Tour, winner of a Monument... Few riders have achieved such an impressive curriculum in just a few seasons.
With his move to Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe, the 25-year-old Belgian now aims for the next phase of his career. Together with his new team, he intends to tackle the greatest challenges in this sport, with the clear ambition of competing for victories in the most prestigious races and captivating fans worldwide.
"Remco is synonymous with ambition. He doesn't just want to pedal, but wants to shape cycling" states Ralph Denk, CEO of Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe. "He brings not only exceptional athletic talent but also a remarkable mentality. His determination, professionalism, and relentless drive for success are truly inspiring".
Remco Evenepoel's arrival marks more than just a milestone for Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe: it's a clear signal. With renewed confidence and bold ambition, the team is setting its course to become one of the strongest on the international cycling scene in the years to come.
THE VOICE OF SOUDAL QUICK STEP. Remco's representatives informed the team management that he did not wish to discuss an extension of his current agreement, which expires at the end of 2026. After consulting our sponsors and partners, the team's ownership and management have decided that it is in everyone's interest to agree that Remco can transfer at the end of the current 2025 season.
Since its inception in 2003, Soudal Quick Step has seen many iterations and changes, continuing to develop into one of the most successful teams in professional cycling history and recently becoming the first professional cycling team to reach 1000 UCI victories. Although we regret Remco's decision to leave, we will cherish the memories we have created and continue to fight together to achieve significant results for the rest of the season.
We strongly believe in the team spirit that earned us the Wolfpack title and will continue to strive to be a collective stronger than any individual. We wish to express our gratitude to our sponsors and partners who have supported us during this process and will continue to do so in the future.
