Another dramatic day for cyclists, this time on the roads of Bologna. In the late afternoon yesterday, a 76-year-old man, resident of San Giovanni in Persiceto, lost his life around 6 PM in Sala Bolognese, along the Trasversale di Pianura. The victim was on his bicycle when, for reasons still being investigated, he collided with a Renault traveling in the opposite direction. The impact was extremely violent and left no chance of survival for the elderly cyclist.
On Saturday evening in Imola, a hit-and-run driver struck a 43-year-old cyclist and fled the scene: the injured man was transported in serious condition to Maggiore Hospital while law enforcement is searching for the blue Punto involved in the accident and its driver.
