Remember the movie Le Comiche with Renato Pozzetto and Paolo Villaggio? Well, the story we're about to tell would have fit perfectly in that context... Two riders were expelled from the Tour de la Guadaloupe for hiding behind a parked vehicle on the roadside and then rejoining the group later.
When the group passed through the direction of Petit-Bourg, the two emerged from their hiding spot to tag along and tackle the last 40 kilometers of the route under the incredulous gaze of the spectators present. Is that all? You might ask... No, this morning at 9, drivers, motorcyclists, radio personnel, photographers, and TV operators were summoned by the jury for a meeting where they were warned: either they respect the regulations and the jury's instructions, or they will follow the fate of the two protagonists from Le Comiche...
