
After a year of absence - last stage in Nice for... Olympic reasons - the Tour de France returns home and celebrates 50 years since the first arrival on the Champs Élysées. The traditional finish line at the end of a stage - the Mantes-la-Ville - Paris Champs Élysées of 132.2 km - which has very little traditional about it.

The Parisian circuit, in fact, will retrace that of the Paris 2024 Games and will therefore propose the Butte de Montmartre three times, a climb of 1.1 km at 5.9%. The last summit just over 5 kilometers from the final finish line.
It's difficult to imagine that sprinters can save themselves to throw themselves into the battle for victory; it's more likely to see some explosive riders willing to play all their cards to pursue a historic success.
And speaking of history, the arrival in Paris will be an opportunity to celebrate the first Tour victory of Bernard Thévenet, which came exactly 50 years ago.
