If there's a stage that can blow the Tour apart, it's today's. There are no famous climbs in the Ennezat - Le Mont-Dor, but there's not a single ingredient missing to shake things up.

We are now on the tenth consecutive day of racing, as the organizers have changed the cards on the table to propose a stage on the French national holiday.
Ten consecutive days of racing are not a habit for anyone, and this weighs even more since in the first nine stages, riders barely caught their breath. The 50 kilometers per hour average of yesterday, for example, will certainly make their mark on the riders' muscles.
Moreover, precisely to celebrate the national holiday, the organizers have invented a truly deadly stage: 4,450 meters of elevation in just 165 km with eight GPM, seven of which are 2nd category and one 3rd category. These will be the first so challenging, given that in the first nine stages there was never a 2nd category climb.
One last point of reflection we propose is the final climb: 3.5 km at an 8% average gradient to conclude the efforts of a day that promises to be truly very tough up and down through the extinct volcanoes of Auvergne.
