Stage number 4 of the Giro Next Gen, the Manerbio - Salsomaggiore Terme of 134 km, promises to be quite uncertain. The riders have yesterday's efforts at Passo Maniva in their legs and will face a stage that is difficult to interpret.

After a completely flat first part, a hilly route begins in Fidenza with some medium-short climbs that represent all the stage's difficulties. In particular the Sant'Antonio Pass (8.5 km at 5%) to be overcome 33 km from the finish. Depending on how fast it will be tackled - and U23 riders usually don't spare energy - it seems impossible that all sprinters will survive.
