
An Italian success at the Tour of Malopolska currently taking place on the roads of Poland. Alexander Konychev, from Verona and riding for Team Vorarblerg, won the first stage from Wieliczka to Chelm, covering 134 kilometers. The son of former professional cyclist Dmitry beat Czech Michael Kukrle and Polish rider Marcin Budzinski, both from ATT Investments.
For Konychev, this is his first victory at an international level and his second overall this season: on April 27th, in fact, the Italian had won the Internationales Raiffeisenbank Kirschblütenrennen, a race in the Austrian national calendar.
