
The twenty-year-old Norwegian Storm Ingebrigtsen, riding for Team Coop-Repsol, won by a breakaway the first stage of the Tour of Norway, contested with start and finish in Sola over a distance of 179 kilometers. Behind him, two other young riders, namely British rider Brennan from Team Visma | Lease a Bike and Dutch rider Del Grosso from Alpecin-Deceuninck.
Best Italian of the day was Alessandro Covi from UAE Emirates XRG, who finished in eleventh place.
