The partnership between "Astoria Wines" and the Giro d'Italia is renewed for the 2025 edition and the celebration on the podium of great cycling continues to be branded "Astoria Wines". Over 100 three-liter Jeroboams with the distinctive carved profile and Astoria logo have already joined the caravan, ready to celebrate the most beautiful moments after hours of effort: every day, for 21 days, they will honor not only the stage winner but also the holder of the cyclamen jersey, the blue jersey, the white jersey, and, of course, the Pink Jersey.
A collaboration between the Giro and the Treviso-based company known worldwide for its Prosecco that has been ongoing since 2012: from Ryder Hesjendal to Tadej Pogacar, passing through Nibali, Froome, Carapaz, and Roglic, many champions have celebrated their triumph with Astoria.
"Cycling is a sport loved by an international audience" – comments Filippo Polegato, CEO of Astoria - "and it has helped make the Astoria brand known everywhere. In 14 years, we have traveled across Italy far and wide, and the starts from abroad have always allowed us to open commercial channels in countries like Israel, Denmark, Hungary, etc... Today we are working to grow in the Balkans and the start from Albania has generated real enthusiasm: the official bottle with the special "Shqipëria" (Albania) label has already become a collector's item; we have sold over 15,000".
Special labels are just one of the surprises Astoria has accustomed cycling lovers to: many remember that last year's bottles debuted a world-first "green" cork made from sugar cane bioplastic, and only the most knowledgeable will recall that back in 2012, Astoria brought its 9.5 Cold Wine (a brut sparkling wine at only 9.5°) to the podium, making cycling one of the first sports to toast with a Low Alcohol drink.
The collaboration between Astoria and the Giro d'Italia thus confirms itself as a winning combination: the Pink Caravan will pay homage to this long collaboration with a passage in front of the Astoria headquarters on May 25th, the stage where cyclists will start from Fiume Veneto, climb Monte Grappa, and arrive in Asiago.
