Olieve Doimo, a prominent figure in the Italian furniture industry and executive of the Doimo Group in Moriago, has passed away at just 61 years old. The furniture industry loses one of its most active and appreciated protagonists, and the cycling world also mourns her, having known and appreciated her when her company entered as a sponsor alongside Liquigas, led by patron Paolo Dal Lago and directed by Roberto Amadio, the team of Ivan Basso and young talents Vincenzo Nibali and Peter Sagan.
Moreover, the Doimo family with the Frezza and Doimo brands, was alongside youth and professional cycling teams and an important partner of the Giro d'Italia.
Olieve was part of the second generation leading the Doimo Group, one of the most important realities in the sector in Italy, founded by Giuseppe Doimo in 1948. In the early 2000s, together with her siblings Laura, Ivonis, and Doris, she took the reins of the family businesses. "Her example will continue to be a precious guide for all of us," says her son Andrea. "Now, with your help, we will carry forward her moral legacy in the best way, grow, and complete the projects that mom has dedicated herself to building so far."
The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 7th at 4 PM at the parish church of Mosnigo.
To the Doimo family, our most heartfelt condolences from the editorial staff of tuttoBICI, tuttobiciweb.it, and tuttobicitech.it.
