Skiing has always been his great passion and for Riccardo Magrini, Abetone is his home mountain. It was practically natural for the municipality of Abetone Cutigliano to choose the former pro cyclist, now a commentator for Eurosport, as the first ambassador of Abetone in the world.

The official ceremony took place today with the assessor Leonardo Corsini - responsible for Sports and Leisure, Sports Facilities, Trail Management, Civil Protection, and Organizations - who presented Magrini with the much-coveted honor. Certainly, other ambassadors will follow, but Magrini will retain the satisfaction - the well-deserved great satisfaction - of being the first.
