With Giulio Ciccone in the green leader's jersey, after yesterday's victory in San Lorenzo Dorsino, the Tour of the Alps prepares to tackle the second stage that will take the peloton from Trentino to South Tyrol, from Mezzolombardo to Vipiteno Racines for 178 km.

The first 90 km are truly intense, because riders will have to face in quick succession the Monte San Pietro (1st category, 19.1 km at 6.1%), and then two non-GPM but rather challenging climbs leading to San Valentino di Sopra (6.9 km at 7.7%) and Fiè allo Sciliar (7.4 km at 7.1%).
At that point the stage will "calm down" until the final circuit in Vipiteno, 16 km long and to be repeated twice, with the Telves di Sopra climb (4.2 km at 7%) as a crucial turning point. At the end of the second ascent, only 10 km will remain to the finish line: as always happens in the Euregio race, the terrain is ideal for those who want to challenge themselves and shake up the race.
