An event for everyone, a hymn to sport, sharing, and inclusion, fun and with a social purpose: one month before the second edition, scheduled for May 10th and 11th, the Valchiavenna Gravel Escape reveals its official program. The proposal by the Valchiavenna Tourist Consortium, which conceived and organized it together with the Chiavenna Sports Club and a tight-knit group of volunteers, is a ride on the dirt roads of Valchiavenna, in a splendid landscape, which each participant can choose to experience at their own pace and with their preferred vehicle, gravel, mountain bike, or e-bike. The routes are a surprise and will be revealed just a few days before, with three distances: 50, 80, and 100 kilometers. There will be no winners because all participants will be protagonists.

Two days to celebrate two wheels, passion or leisure hobby, combining the discovery of a territory, Valchiavenna, which has many stories to tell. The heart of the event will be in the center of Chiavenna, in Piazza Bertacchi, where the village will be set up: a true wonderland for all bicycle enthusiasts, with stands and routes for the youngest. Saturday, May 10th will be open from 10 am to 7 pm. The day's program includes, in addition to registrations and welcome bag collection, bicycle tests with Basso every hour, by reservation, and sunglasses tests with OUT OF. It will also be possible to try inclusive electric bicycles with Quadrifoglio and Il mondo che vorrei associations, at 2:30 pm there will be KIDS RIDES for children and young people, which can be registered for free on the website. From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, it will be possible to register at the Admo Lombardia stand.

From 4:30 pm, music will accompany the event with a DJ set. In the evening, at 9 pm, at the Victoria Cinema Theater, with free entry, the documentary film "A journey from the furthest municipality from the sea (Montespluga) to the sea (Ventimiglia)" by Elia Guanella and Nicola Ciapponi will be presented.

On Sunday, May 11th, the village will open from 7:30 am for registrations and sign-ups, which will close at 8:30 am, in time for the French-style start, meaning in small groups at intervals of a few minutes, while the group departure is scheduled for 9 am. And after a morning of cycling, from 12:30 pm, cyclists will be welcomed by the Pasta party by Caffè Svizzero and Il Locale, in collaboration with Pastificio Moro, Del Zoppo Bresaole, Acqua Frisia, and Pintalpina. At 5 pm, all present registered participants can aspire to the prizes in the lottery.

After the positive debut in 2024, the Valchiavenna Gravel Escape presents itself even richer and more articulated in its proposals, more engaging and attractive, not only for enthusiasts but also for those who want to spend a day outdoors cycling and having fun, sharing the experience with family and friends. For Valchiavenna, increasingly bike-friendly, welcoming, and proactive for everything revolving around bicycles, the Valchiavenna Gravel Escape is one of the key events on the calendar. The positive feedback on registrations in recent months since opening is promising. The 2025 edition sees Banca Popolare di Sondrio as the title sponsor.
