TWO NEW ARRIVALS AND FIVE RENEWALS COMPLETE THE JCL UKYO TEAM ROSTER FOR 2025

The JCL Team Ukyo completes its roster for 2025. The Tokyo-based team today reveals the signing of two new riders, Marc Cabedo and Nahom Zeray, who join the already announced Kobayashi, D'Amato, Fancellu, Garibbo and Raccani.
The team's lineup is completed by the contract renewal of five Japanese riders: Yuma Koishi, Nariyuki Masuda, Koki Kamada, Masaki Yamamoto and Manabu Ishibashi.
The 22-year-old Marc Cabedo Hernandez arrives at JCL Team Ukyo after a few months as a trainee with Burgos-BH. In 2024, he won the Challenge Alicante-Biar and is now ready to take a new step in his career: "I am very happy to join this team. Being a professional cyclist is a dream come true, I will train hard to be at the level of my teammates and competitors. Team Ukyo is the perfect squad to continue growing".
Nahom Zeray presents himself to Team Ukyo as one of the most interesting prospects in the African cycling landscape. In 2024, he won the Piccola Sanremo and showed his potential at the Tour of Rwanda, finishing fourth in the stage ending at Monte Kigali. His growth will now continue with the new team: "I am really happy to race here. I am working hard to help the team achieve more success".
For 2025, JCL Team Ukyo confirms five Japanese riders who were already part of this season's roster. The most experienced is certainly the veteran Nariyuki Masuda, ready to start his twentieth season in the peloton: in his long career, he has already won the Tour of Okinawa three times, the national time trial title twice (in 2019 and 2021), a Tour of Japan and a Tour de Hokkaido.
Masuda will not be the only one sharing his experience with the young talents on the roster. Yuma Koishi is preparing to race his eighth year with JCL Team Ukyo, where he arrived in 2018: in 2023 he became the national time trial champion. For Manabu Ishibashi (32 years old), his fourth season with the team is approaching, while Masaki Yamamoto joined the squad in 2023, the year he became national champion and achieved two other victories, in the first stage of the Tour de Kumano and the overall classification of the Tour de Okinawa. The aim of cultivating young Japanese talents continues with the 20-year-old Koki Kamada, U23 national time trial champion.
With six Japanese riders, including national champion Marino Kobayashi, four Italians, one Eritrean and one Spaniard, JCL Team Ukyo once again certifies its international soul. Based in Tokyo and with a training base in Colle Brianza (Italy), the team continues its work with young talents from all over the world, while promoting the Japanese cycling movement with the help of the best local riders.
2024 was a year full of satisfaction for JCL Ukyo, which finished second in the UCI Asia Tour team ranking, obtaining 16 victories and many placings in international races. Thanks to the work of CEO Ukyo Katayama, general manager Alberto Volpi has the opportunity to carry forward the project and improve the roster year after year. Now the JCL Team Ukyo is ready for an exciting 2025, in which it will take part in various international races.
