IT'S OFFICIAL, MAXIM VAN GILS WILL RACE FOR RED BULL

Maxim Van Gils will race with the Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe jersey in the next three seasons: he is the ninth new acquisition for the German UCI WorldTeam that has undergone a profound revolution of its roster.
With Maxim Van Gils, Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe adds another young athlete with great talent to its roster. The good results obtained from Strade Bianche to Milan-Sanremo, from the Ardennes and Frankfurt to the autumn race in Montreal have marked the season of the 25-year-old Belgian who aims for a further quality leap.
"I am proud to have earned the interest of Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe. I felt a special connection with the team from the very first moment. Now I want to work hard with them to achieve great goals. My adventure with the new colors starts tomorrow!" Indeed, tomorrow Maxim Van Gils will join his new teammates.
After seven years with Lotto Dstny, this will be his first time with a new team. With the Belgian team, he laid the foundations in the U23 category, then made the leap to professionals, and this year he has particularly stood out in challenging one-day races.
Ralph Denk, CEO of Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, adds: "I am grateful that after Maxim expressed his desire to change teams, his agent, Stéphane Heulot, and I managed the situation professionally. This is what made the transfer possible. Maxim has achieved excellent results from spring to autumn. He didn't end up on the podium at Strade Bianche and in the Ardennes by chance, especially at such a young age. Maxim shows strength, but also potential, and we will continue to develop this aspect with our performance structure".
