A new chapter opens for the Toscana Factory Team – Vini Fantini, which is pleased to announce the arrival of Yukiya Arashiro in their lineup for the upcoming season.
Born in 1984, the Japanese rider boasts an impressive palmares, with 8 victories to his name, including three national road titles, a stage at the Tour of Japan, and numerous significant placements in the most prestigious international competitions.
With a career spanning over a decade, Arashiro has participated in 16 grand tours and 14 monument classics, demonstrating athletic and tactical qualities that make him one of the most experienced and respected cyclists in the global panorama. His presence will be crucial not only for achieving the team's sporting objectives but also for guiding and directing the team's young talents.
Arashiro's arrival in Serge Parsani's team marks a significant step forward in the growth path of the Toscana Factory Team – Vini Fantini, projecting it towards new challenges at the highest levels of international competitions.
"We are very happy to welcome Yukiya Arashiro to our team" - declares Serge Parsani, Team Manager - "He is a rider of great caliber, with a wealth of experience and skills that place him among the most experienced athletes in the international landscape. His arrival is a valuable addition to our project, which will contribute to both the team's growth and the strengthening of our competitiveness in the upcoming season. Moreover, new opportunities will open up to enrich our calendar with races in Asia, particularly in Japan, a prospect that excites us very much.
"I am finally happy to make this announcement to everyone" - declares Yukiya Arashiro - "I will continue to race in Europe next season. To be honest, considering my age, I thought about the word 'retirement', but I am confident that I still have the physical strength to compete and I wanted to conclude the rest of my career participating in the races I want to race. The Toscana Factory Team - Vini Fantini will also participate this year in the Tour de Kyushu and next season aims to compete in UCI races in Japan and many Asian Tour races. I felt this was the team where I could best leverage my experience and still have the opportunity to shine, so I signed a contract. I think next season there will be more opportunities to race in Japan, so expect great things. I'm not retiring yet (laughs)."
