Ahead of the 2027 season, Team Picnic PostNL will evolve its technical structure, with Roy Curvers transitioning from his role as coach to a leading position within the team's sporting management
Roy has been part of the team since 2008, first as a rider and subsequently as a coach, initially in our Development program and more recently at WorldTour level. Over these years, he has grown within our organization not only as a coach, but also by expanding his managerial and leadership skills and taking on increasingly greater responsibilities within the team. His extensive experience, natural leadership ability, and deep knowledge of the team, its culture and working methods make him the right person to help guide the next phase of our sporting structure. In his new role, Roy will work alongside Rudi Kemna within sporting management.
At the same time, at the end of the 2026 season the team will bid farewell to coach Matt Winston, who will leave the team to pursue a new professional challenge elsewhere. After eight years together, the team looks back on this collaboration with great satisfaction and gratitude, and thanks Matt for his commitment and contribution to the team during this period, wishing him every success for the next chapter of his career.
Coaches Davide Gani and Melvin Rulliere will also leave the team at the end of the season. The team thanks both of them for their dedication and contribution during their time with us and wishes them all the best for the future.
Further details on the new structure of the technical staff and sporting management, including new figures joining the team, will be announced shortly.
