
Bahrain Victorious Team has announced the signing of Spanish rider Pau Miquel for the 2026 and 2027 seasons The 25-year-old turned professional in 2022 with Equipo Kern Pharma, after being a stagiaire with the team in August 2021. Over the past three and a half years, he has demonstrated not only excellent sprint speed but also the ability to tackle both classics and the climbs typical of Grand Tours. Last season was his best so far, with a brilliant 3rd place in the sprint in Córdoba during the 7th stage of the Vuelta a España, behind Wout van Aert and Mathias Vacek. In the same race, he also achieved two fourth places in sprints (2nd stage in Ourém and 17th in Santander).
Additionally, he podiumed at the Prueba Villafranca–Ordiziako Klasika and finished 4th in the 2nd stage of the Itzulia Basque Country. Other notable results include top-five finishes in one-day races such as the Grand Prix du Morbihan, Boucles de l'Aulne–Châteaulin, and the Clàssica Terres de l'Ebre. In 2023, he finished 5th at the Grand Prix Cycliste La Marseillaise.
Miquel expressed his enthusiasm for moving to the WorldTour with Bahrain Victorious: "Signing with Bahrain Victorious is a dream come true.
