Cofidis continues its recruitment campaign by signing 29-year-old Belgian Jenthe Biermans with a two-year contract. The sprinter will be able to put his qualities at the service of the collective in sprints to support Milan Fretin and will also be able to seek personal results when circumstances require.
In three occasions over the last three seasons, Biermans has experienced the joy of victory in the professional circuit. The scenario is always the same: a tough sprint at the end of a demanding race. Jenthe won the Muscat Classic in February 2023, then the Luxembourg Tour in September of the same year, and then the Route Adélie in March 2024.
The Belgian rider will also be a key element for the Classics, having already participated eight times in Paris-Roubaix: he will be a valuable reinforcement to allow Cofidis to shine on all terrains!
Jenthe Biermans explains: "I am very happy to become part of this team that is known by everyone and has a great history. I spent wonderful years with Arkéa-B&B Hotels and would like to thank the entire team for my adventure with them. I like the French mentality and this is one of the reasons why I accepted the challenge of Cofidis. I really like the project that Cédric Vasseur wants to realize. I like the idea of being able to help Milan Fretin in sprints, but also the possibility of trying my luck personally. I am a sprinter but I like difficult finishes in small groups or hilly stages. And like many Belgian riders, I really love the classics, with a soft spot for Paris-Roubaix!"
