The queen of mountain bike is Italian and her name is Val di Sole Bikeland. This is a story almost two decades long, which in just over a year will prepare to write a new chapter with the Mountain Bike World Championships, returning to Daolasa di Commezzadura for the fourth time, from August 26 to 30, 2026. A successful present certifies this, which saw Val di Sole welcome the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series in June 2025 and create a record-breaking edition. With almost 15 million cumulative views, the Val di Sole Cross Country of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series 2025 has become the most viewed event ever in the history of the world's most important Mountain Bike circuit in the WBDS era. An unprecedented global success, with a +15.4% increase compared to the previous record set in Nové Město Na Moravě in 2023, which has put the spotlight on Trentino and this authentic outdoor and Mountain Bike paradise.
The record-breaking edition of Val di Sole 2025 is confirmed by the official numbers from Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), which broadcast the event through its linear channels and streaming platforms (HBO Max, Eurosport, Discovery+ and TNT Sports). The Val di Sole event was also broadcast by numerous other broadcasters worldwide, including Rai in Italy.
"This result fills us with pride: Val di Sole is not just an extraordinary place for sports, it's a story of passion, expertise, and international vision," commented Fabio Sacco, Director of APT Val di Sole and Grandi Eventi Val di Sole. "Being the most followed stage in the world for MTB is the best recognition for all the work we have been carrying out for years, and the result of organizational commitment, promotion, communication, and media involvement that this year also contributed to bringing over 20,000 enthusiasts to the race course during the long weekend in Daolasa. It's the best prelude to the world championship event in 2026."
The record-breaking edition of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series in Val di Sole is also confirmed by web results (almost 14 million views) and the event's digital channels. Between Instagram and Facebook, the contents of Val di Sole Bikeland channels recorded over 6.5 million total views.
Another great success for what is now recognized as a global Mountain Bike classic.
