ANDALUCIA. PINOT BATTE CONTADOR, CHE DIVENTA LEADER

C'è la firma del francese Thibaut Pinot sul traguardo della seconda tappa della Vuelta Andalucia, da Torredonjimeno ad Alto Pena del Aguila, Mancha Real di 177,9 chilometri con il gran premio della montagna di prima categoria del Puerto de Torres e Pena del Aguila. Proprio su quest'ultima ascesa si è scatenata la bagarre tra i grandi, con l'attacco portato dal nuovo leader della classifica  Contador (Trek Segafredo), Valverde (Movistar) e Landa (Sky) sui quali si è riportato subito Pinot, Rosa, Izagirre e Poels. L'allungo decisivo è però quello di Pinot (Equipe Cycliste FDJ) che riesce ad anticipare di qualche metro un ottimo Contador. Più staccato Valverde che chiude al terzo posto davanti a Izagirre, Landa e un bravissimo Diego Rosa, sesto posto per l'italiano della Sky a 9" dal vincitore. La frazione è stata caratterizzata dalla lunga fuga del belga Tim Wellens (Lotto Soudal) in compagnia dell'austriaco Grobschartner (CCC Sprandi Polkowice) che poi ha distanziato sulla salita di Puerto de las Siete Pinillas.
