The opening of the Italian Time Trial Championships at Piasco speaks Lombard. The tricolour title in the junior category was conquered by Milan-based Samuele Matteini from Team Aba Orobia Biassono, who delivered the best time trial performance of the day over the 13 km course. Matteini stopped the clock with a 6-second advantage over Romagna's David Alexandru Munteanu (SC Cotignolese), who took the silver medal, while the bronze went to Venetian Carlo Ceccarello (Asd Monselice), finishing 10 seconds behind the winner.

For the Team Aba Orobia Biassono rider, this is a prestigious tricolour jersey, the result of a brilliant and flawless performance on the Piedmont roads of Piasco, which brings Lombardy the first title of the national championship.
