Steel, wool and gravel roads. Sunday, October 25th, "L'Olimpica" Strade Bianche – Morainic Hills returns to Dossobuono, the non-competitive cycling tour dedicated to vintage bikes that this year reaches its eleventh edition.
The event, now an autumn classic for lovers of heroic cycling, is reserved for historic bicycles built before 1987. All types of two-wheeled vehicles are admitted: road bikes, touring bikes, sports bikes or work bikes. A journey back to cycling of yesteryear, featuring steel frames, downtube shifters and wool jerseys.
Organized by the Società Ciclistica Olimpica Dossobuono in collaboration with other local organizations and community groups, the event features a single loop route of 47 kilometers, of which approximately 14 kilometers on gravel roads, through the Morainic Hills with start and finish in Dossobuono. A cycle touring format, without rankings, open to everyone for a day of sport, conviviality and scenic beauty.
To participate, you must have a valid medical certificate of fitness for sporting activity, to be presented to the secretariat at the time of registration: a non-competitive certificate is sufficient.
Registrations are already open online and will close on October 17th. You can also register on-site on the day of the event, Sunday, October 25th from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., until the maximum limit of 150 participants is reached, at the secretariat set up at the Olimpica Tennis Dossobuono sports facilities, at Via Brigate Alpine 2.
