Spreading out tourist flows throughout the year, creating an alternative offering to sea-related activities, and facilitating local mobility are three objectives that the municipal administration of Ponza has decided to pursue by focusing, in recent months and in the near future, on a single means of transport: the bicycle.

This is demonstrated by the successful participation in the national call for proposals "Bikes in Municipality", promoted by the Ministry for Sport and Youth in collaboration with Sport and Health S.p.A and the National Association of Italian Municipalities, which has allowed Mayor Francesco Amorino and his administration to access funds to launch an important cycling policy that has translated in recent months into a concrete series of solutions and initiatives aimed at making the well-known Tyrrhenian island, belonging to the province of Latina, an accessible and livable place even on two wheels.
