After celebrating her victory at the U23 World Championship time trial, Felicity Wilson-Haffenden can now toast to the new professional adventure that awaits her from next January. The move of the 21-year-old Australian to Fenix-Premier Tech is now official: the Belgian team directed by the  Roodhooft brothers has announced that it has secured Wilson-Haffenden's services for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

«I am truly excited to join the Fenix-Premier Tech team. I really like the way the team approaches racing and I believe this is the perfect environment to take a step forward in my career, naturally with the team's support. I can't wait  to discover what we can achieve together in 2027» said Felicity, who will therefore leave Lidl-Trek, where she had joined in 2024 from the Australian club Team Bridgelane.

Beyond official announcements, transfer market rumors are also circulating from the Montreal World Championships, and the team involved in this flurry of speculation is Alpecin-Premier Tech, the men's team also managed by Philip and Christoph Roodhooft.

According to reports from the website Wielerflits, Ryan Gal, winner yesterday of the U23 World Championship time trial ahead of Italian Nicolas Milesi, would be ready to leave the Dutch Continental team Metec to begin his WorldTour adventure with Alpecin-Premier Tech alongside his compatriot Mathieu van der Poel.

For now, there is no official confirmation, but if Ryan Gal does indeed arrive alongside Felicity Wilson-Haffenden, the Belgian team would secure two great talents. Two world champions.
