While riders are battling it out in the twentieth stage of the Vuelta, another challenge is unfolding on the sidelines of the race: at the center of attention is tomorrow's stage, the final one in Granada.

According to reports from Diario As, in fact, the majority of teams (not 100%) are in favor of neutralizing stage 21, citing the «danger of the final circuit», with the CPA being particularly active in requesting neutralization.

On the opposite front are the Vuelta organization and the UCI, which are opposed to neutralizing the final lap or - because this is also being discussed - even four stages.

Following the Milan stage at the Giro d'Italia and the Paris stage at the Tour de France, the Vuelta and Granada risk also being protagonists of a neutralization, in this case entirely independent of weather conditions, since tomorrow is forecast to be another beautiful sunny day for the race.

A decision is expected by the end of today's stage, but there remains great uncertainty: is it possible that at every Grand Tour there is at least one stage that is too dangerous and therefore needs to be neutralized?
