Seff Van Kerckhove puts his stamp on the 50th edition of the Giro della Lunigiana juniores, claiming victory for the second consecutive year. The Belgian from Decathlon CMA–CGM U19 closed the general classification with a 2" advantage over Austrian Hettegger and 13" over his compatriot Vic De Smet. Excellent Italian presence in the top five: Patrik Pezzo Rosola fourth at 18", followed by Gugnino at 21".
The fourth and final stage, from Castelnuovo Magra to Casano di Luni, rewarded the power of Belgian Vic De Smet, who secured a winning sprint ahead of Brandon Fedrizzi and Slovenian Stare. Italian riders were prominent: Gugnino fourth and national champion Balliana fifth.
Van Kerckhove thus completes another display of character, confirming himself as the absolute reference point of the category and dominant force in the Ligurian race.
