Mattia Acanfora is another new signing for Team ECOTEK Zero24 ahead of the 2027 season. The Brescia-based rider, born in 2010 and residing in Brescia, comes from Santa Cruz TSA Beltrami Pro Team and brings with him an impressive palmares developed mainly in the mountain bike world.
During his career, he has won nine Italian national jerseys, both individual and team titles, including the Italian Youth Champion titles won in 2024 in Gorizia and in 2025 in Albenga, in both the XCO race and Short Track (XCC) disciplines. His resume also includes a fourth-place finish at the 2023 European Championships, victory in the Team Relay at the same year's Europeans, as well as numerous placements in continental competitions and several victories achieved in Italy and abroad.
Cycling entered Mattia's life after his experiences in triathlon and rugby: "I started in 2021. With Covid, rugby had stopped and some friends convinced me to try a cross country bike race. I immediately became passionate about it and continued".
After his first experience with Carbon Hub, Acanfora moved to Monticelli Bike and subsequently to Santa Cruz TSA Beltrami, the team in which he competed over the last two seasons. For several years he continued to alternate between MTB and triathlon, until he made the decision to dedicate himself entirely to cycling.
