Alex Aranburu delivers an outstanding performance on the Breton roads and secures victory in the Bretagne Classic Ouest France. As always, the Plouay circuit saw numerous attacks unfold, but the decisive move came 5 kilometers from the finish thanks to German rider Herzog. A group of around a dozen athletes formed on his wheel, with many teams represented, but the group lacked the strength to chase down and close the gap.

Shortly after the two-kilometer banner, Aranburu launched a counterattack and immediately gained ground on his breakaway companions, with only Danish rider Kamp managing to react, though with culpable delay, attempting to close the gap.

To no avail for him, as Aranburu claimed victory while young Alessandro Borgo (Bahrain Victorious) secured third place overall, with Andrea Vendrame (Team Jayco-AlUla) rounding out the top ten.
